Intertwining Villages: Global Design

Group Project-Fall 2014

Intertwining Villages was a global design project that focused on universal design and affordable living. We needed to create a home that provided safety and stability while incorporating aspects that influenced culture from all over. We infused heritage and culture throughout the design to suit many different needs. The design featured colors that represent different cultures and memories; red, blue, orange, yellow, and green. All boards were put together digitally; while SketchUp and AutoCAD were used to create construction documents and to form perspectives.

Space for Milo: Advanced Residential Design

Individual Project-Fall 2014

A Space for Milo was a bedroom and bathroom design. Milo is an eight year old boy who was diagnosed with autism. I incorporated music and rhythm to this space to help regulate breathing, increase activity, and decrease stress. I separated the three areas; resting, playing, and learning, to keep Milo less distracted when focusing on certain treatment areas. All boards were put together digitally and Sketchup and ShaderLight were used to build and render the perspectives.

Martin Residence: Residential Design

Individual project-Fall 2013

The Residential Project of the apartment downtown was an assignment that tested my skills on space planning and providing a good circulation pattern. I needed to incorporate mid-century modern throughout my design between my finishes, furniture, and layout. Also, the space needed to be universally designed to keep the space accessible for everyone who will be entering the apartment. All drawings were hand drafted, as well as, hand rendered.
